Cave & why does it
matter?
It is one of the few
remaining breeding
habitats of the
Mediterranean monk
seal, one of the most
endangered marine
mammals on Earth.
We call for urgent action:
A Shared Tragedy of Lost Homes
Across Lebanon, families are losing their homes
to violence and destruction.
At the same time, human activity now
threatens the fragile refuge of one of the last
monk seal populations in the Mediterranean.
It must not become an excuse to destroy the
homes of other living beings.
