Let’s Debate

Overview

In Al-Nahda’s efforts to to contribute to democratic renewal and strengthening, and better representation of animals and nature in politics., we would like to offer the remaining young people an opportunity to affect public policies in Lebanon. Hence We are looking for a number of  individuals to participate in a series of cascade training sessions of debate skills and compete in a debate forum on a National level. 

The participants will be expected to attend all 6 training sessions focused on debate, critical thinking, research, leadership, and designing policy proposals.

After having participated in the training sessions, the youth will compete in a national debate forum, where the winning team will assist in drafting a policy paper on Animal rights in Lebanon, and receive a certificate of achievement. 

Requirements

• A physical presence in Lebanon, and ability to attend our training sessions.
• Interest in topics related to Human Rights, Animal Rights, and Democracy.
• Good proficiency in both Arabic and English.
• Good public speaking skills.
• Willingness to commit to attending all our training sessions and competition forums.
• Preferably with previous engagement in Political and Social Activism.
