Animal politics world conference

AlNahda representatives took part in the conference organized by Animal Politics Foundation (APF), in cooperation with Member of European Parliament Anja Hazekamp (Party for the Animals), focusing on accelerating positive change for our planet and all its inhabitants. The conference took place on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of December 2022, in the heart of European political power: Brussels (Belgium). Recent scientific reports confirm that stake is nothing less than a viable future on this planet. To solve the urgent challenges we face today, we need to change politics and invest in solutions for tomorrow. Current political leaders worldwide are not taking the action that is needed. But in recent years we have seen more and more inspiring citizen engagement being a driver of positive change and forcing politicians to take action. This conference will highlight what we can learn from the different initiatives and how to join hands to accelerate positive change. The conference will serve as an interactive knowledge-exchange event. different ecological and animal rights issues have been discussed and possibilities to make a change through political solutions, both locally and in cooperation, were looked into. Part of the conference focused on workshops on funding, communication, and mobilization to make a positive change. AlNahda representatives were able to network with political parties and organizations from all around the world, as well as gain important and valuable information about topics that would quickly start and accelerate positive change.
